What is TUngsten?

With a melting point of 3,422°C, Tungsten is known for its incredibly high temperature tolerance. It is one of the most robust materials available.

Tungsten is an important component in the manufacture of jewelry.Thanks to its durability and resistance to scratches, Tungstenrings is the perfect choice for those seeking both style and durability in their jewelry.

Our rings is made from a mixture of Tungsten and Carbon. To bond these materials and give the Ring its polished properties, we use a small amount of Nickel. The material binds extremely hard and therefore the Nickel emission in our rings is below the EU limit and is considered Nickel safe.

Where does the name come from?

The name Tungsten comes from the Swedish mineralogistAxel Fredrik Cronstedt , and refers to the high density of the material. We have chosen to continue using the name "Tungsten" as we think it suits us better. The Swedish name is actually "Volframkarbid".

What is Tungsten?

Our rings are made in Tungsten Carbide, also called Tungsten Carbide,

- but what is it?

Tungsten is the hardest metal in the world and causes no allergies. It is so stable that it is often used in the aerospace industry.

Compared to silver and gold, tungsten does not discolor or deform. This makes its scratch resistance far superior to the two metals.

If you own a TungstenRing , you will enjoy it practically forever. It is virtually impossible to scratch, discolor or lose its shape. Nor will it rust or darken in color, as its shine will always be there.

Please note that if Ringit is plated in gold or other materials, its platingRing will wear like any material if you do not take care of it.
